Easy, fun read with well-rounded characters and quite funny in parts. Moriarty's writing is always sharp, her dialogue realistic, and her plots - though perhaps a little cliche and expected at the end - are well paced and well thought out.

Good quick read. Interesting but not life changing.

I liked the storyline, but in my opinion it could’ve been written in 250 words instead of 400+.

Trigger Warning: Miscarriage (mentioned A TON throughout the book)

Soooo, what was the point of the sister, Elizabeth's (was that her name? I forgot) monologs? seems like they had zero to even do with the story, yet they were a large part of reading in this long book. All of that second storyline could have been cut completely out in my opinion! Also, the entire second half of the book that focuses SO HARD on the obsession with her late friend Gina. That ended up pointless to the overall story, too. I wanted more of the story to be about Alice, since, you know, that is the title and all lol. I liked the first chapter; it felt promising. The rest of the book was dull to me and lacked the "emotional journey" of a typical women's fiction book.
