Such a fun, thought-provoking book. It really makes you consider, “would my younger self be happy with who I’ve become?” and “where do I want to let my future take me?” It makes you reflect on the stupid little things that we let affect our life and change it for better or for worse. A couple F-words.

Family, love, change, second chances. Loved it.
this book was incredibly captivating. i found the premise to be very interesting and alice’s experience was written so well. liane moriarty draws this story out perfectly, giving just enough details to keep you satisfied and wanting more, but not enough for you to know what’s going on, thus adding the element of suspense.
i find amnesia to be the most insane concept and i had a lot of internal conversations about what would happen if i suddenly lost 10 years of my life. between alice’s relationship with nick, her strained friendship with her sister, and her near 180 personality change since age 29, there’s so much to wonder about in terms of what could have happened and how do you rectify who you are now with who you were then when it’s all blended together.
i enjoyed this book the entire time and really just wanted to keep reading and find out more. the reason this ended up being 4 stars instead of 5 was the ending. i would like to preface this by saying as someone who is 21 and has never been married, i probably have a very different perspective than a person who has been through marriage/divorce/childbirth etc. however! i felt that the epilogue was just tied up a little too neatly with a bow and didn’t really make sense based on the end of the prior chapter. the return of alice’s memory and her consensus about her stage of life and who she had become didn’t (in my opinion) match the decisions she made and thus how the story ended. so, even though this was a five star read for the majority of the book, the end just left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth, leading to four stars. that said, this was a wonderful book that i had a ton of fun reading and highly recommend to fans of women’s fiction and who have read some of moriarty’s other works!

A strong message about priorities and how we can grow in unexpected ways that might disappoint or surprise our former selves, and not to settle for people in our lives who drag us down.
