This quirky novel by the author of "Like Water for Chocolate" came with a music CD that you were supposed to play at certain parts of the book. There were also close to 50 color illustrations in the book. The book is a blend of science fiction, romance and mystery with some new age ideas thrown into the mix as well.

I think about this book all the time. It comes up on me when I don’t exactly expect it. I have recommended it hundreds of times. I have a deep, abiding love for magical realism- but this book also touches on queerness and explores the definitions of humanity and self in a way I haven’t seen again, since. It’s an enduring and timeless tale.

Está interesante, pero no me ha gustado tanto como otras de sus obras, a mi parecer no es de lo mejor, aunque está bien construido y además es futurista, esto fue sorpresivo por que no leí la sinopsis, asi que

You have to have a somewhat 'spiritual' mind to get this book. I read this when I was a teenager and at that age where you are trying to find the meaning of life the pathway you want to lead. I loved it then, but must try reading it again as a adult to see how I feel about it now. The audio element of the book is very intriguing!

It was okay. I liked the integration of art and music, but it wasn't really for me.
