Too intellectual for me in this current moment. Might pick it back up at a later time.

Was not a fan of the writing style. Also, it’s hard to say “these are undeniable truths regarding girlhood” when it’s literally just a conversation you had in your living room with your 4 friends and no research to back it up

this memoir was truly amazing and I really didn't expect to like it as much as I did. I had to read it for a philosophy requirement but now I feel it has more personal meaning than that. Melissa Febos is deeply personal in her writing yet it feels universal. This book speaks so much to what it is like to grow up as a girl and be in a culture that is, in a lot of ways, against you. She also speaks beautifully about finding yourself and learning how to grow.

Different kind of book. Sometimes tough to follow but found it to be very thought-provoking!
