I feel like this book had a great idea of a story and really did think I would enjoy it. I had a hard time being interested and getting through it. I really thought I was not going to finish it but I have yet to do that for a book. I ended up having to rent the audiobook to listen too while I worked though because I was having such a hard time paying attention to physically reading it. I am a bit disappointed about it.

Writing style is not for me. Also not a fan of forced, cliche wording, and aren’t we all a little tired of talk of Donald Trump’s hair? To use him as an analogy two times within two pages made me roll my eyes and decide to close this one.

I felt a little thrown around as the narrative switched between Meredith and Nina's stories. I liked both characters but felt certain sections describing seemingly random things would go on a bit too long. The spy/killing eve angle was interesting but sort of felt like it just dribbled away? By the end I didn't feel super gratified. It was sort of just a neutral read for me. Interesting how much was inspired by real events though.

I wanted to love this but it was all over the place and really struggled to get through.
