It’s kind of feeling like Dav Pilkey’s running out of ideas for this franchise, which might be why it’s on hiatus. Mothering Heights is a decently executed book, but it’s nothing you haven’t seen before, and if you skipped it, you would never know. It’s good, but all of its best parts you’ve seen the other books in the franchise do better.

Sweet book to read with my 4 year old. Plays less into potty humor, which I appreciate, and has some interesting nuances around “good” and “bad.”

This is a silly cartoon comic book for kids. My son loves them which is great because at least he's reading. There are a lot of poop jokes. The bad guy turned nice at some point during the series and this book is overall a lot nicer and about love and friendships then the other ones are. It's kind of weird.
