FIILLLTHYYYYY! But in a good way. Probably not for everyone, but if you read the content warnings on the first page and go “ooh! Fun!!!” It’s probably for you.

i don’t usually add content warnings to my reviews but i felt like i had to with this book.. 

but it was funny at times? and kind of cringe, but wholesome. 

i am aware that butcher and blackbird choose to kill ’bad’ people, often serial killers.. but don’t they realise that they are just as bad? 
they seem to think that killing a ’bad’ person is them doing a favor to the world. well they need help

I did not know what I was getting into until the content warnings page, which was super helpful, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. I’m not sure this is how murderer psychology works, but I don’t really care. I loved Rowan’s single-minded, pure devotion, and Sloane’s rise in confidence as the story went on. For all the murder, the love story at the core of this is super sweet, which balances well. Looking forward to the rest of the series!

The content warnings make this look terrifying, but it didn’t bother me and the bulk of the story was the love story. This was incredibly creative and different and I highly recommend if the author’s content warnings don’t bother you.

A very interesting read! I liked the storyline and the characters. However the internal monologue of the male lead got repetitive and irritating about halfway through. Otherwise it was a fun read.
