While Alaric and Cassiopeia are off on their rescue mission during the last chapters of volume 2, we get a closer look at the two characters we all wanted to know more about: Manc Shepherd and Tyne Ren. Some questions get answered, some new questions appear. We finally find out what side (almost) everybody is on. True to his recipe, Michael J. Allen begins the book with a fight/flight scene and keeps the speed and tension up right to the end.
I'd give five stars if it wasn't for the typos. The lack of a professional publisher shows.
