This felt like what would happen if the world was ending and the Real Housewives of whatever, created a cult and tried to “save the world and/or community.” It was an interesting concept for a book. It did take me a little to get into.

In the future, the world is a rough place. It's extremely expensive to survive and people depend on corporate company towns. When Russel gets an opportunity to start a job in Plymouth Valley they know it's the chance of a lifetime.
When they arrive everyone seems strange and closed off. Most people live in company towns their whole lives. They rarely ever get new people. The family is working hard to fit in. As they find their niche in the town, their previously popular daughter doesn't find a place.
Linda becomes a doctor in the neighboring town and it becomes more clear than ever that there is an issue. The people are scared. As the night of Hollow comes closer Linda feels that something sinister is happening. She can't help but think the missing twins are going to be sacrificed in some way.
It was a really good premises for a book. I wish there had been more creepy things happening. More horror and less thriller.
