A high 4.5 stars... To be honest I don't know why I devoured this series in a day. I literally saw this book on my kindle and saw that it was the last book in the series so I decided to read the whole thing from the start thinking it would take me some time. To my surprise, I read the first two books yesterday (one at work and one at home), then at about 10pm I started this book stayed up until 2am, forced myself to go to bed only to wake up at 6am to finish this book before work. So worth!

This book as the trope I despise the most (this is a big spoiler so don't click it unless you have read the book or don't care to be spoiled)
Spoileraccidental pregnancy or unprotected sex and then them being shocked that the girl is pregnant
and for some reason that did not deter me from giving this book a high rating. I think that it was because I really enjoyed Mica's character. We saw him be like an older brother to Zoey in [b:Home Game|45170561|Home Game (Vancouver Wolves Hockey, #2)|Odette Stone|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1555628656l/45170561._SY75_.jpg|67903895]. Also I really liked Charlie's character, she didn't take the crap that Mica was throwing at her and she knew all that she was getting in to.

While this book did the one thing I hate it also did a trope I really enjoy which is marriage of convenience. I think that was what made me not hate the first trope as much. Also this had the right balance of action and hockey and romance and relationship issues. I really enjoyed watching Mica turn his ideas of marriage around, and really open up and let Charlie in. Ps the scene where he gets Charlie
Spoiler a dog (Sniper) and how he saw how Sniper hates Andrew, saying it was the best $70,000 he had ever spent, some reason made me love Mica more.

I hope that Krista (who I hated in the first book, and then grew to like in the second book, and now really enjoy her in this book) gets her book. I saw a sneak peek at the end of this book, but no release date, so you know I will be watching Odette's Instagram and Goodreads page like a hawk!

Can't wait to read more of Odette's books, I don't know what her magical powers are, but she writes binge worthy books that for some reason I devour like my life depends on it.

Highly recommend this series!!!

At first i really liked the book since i have liked Mica already in the second book and tbh i am a sucker for the marriage of convenience trope. But I feel like their feelings towards each other were kinda confusing like one time she did not want to open up to him because she was scared and then the next second she was willing to let her guard down? it may just be me but i wished for more clarity on that. And there were some things that just did not do it for me. for example the way he first he really recognized her (in two years) was because of her body?! "But seeing her body on display like some hedonistic goddess, i had to rethink who Charlie was" that gave some bad vibes like really just because she has a great body you finally see her? i mean further into the book he does not only focus on her body and he was really sweet and possessive which ugh i lovee! another thing that did not do it for me was this statement "Yes, wench. Go cook for your husband" The next sentence is "We cooked together" so she did not cook alone and i am sure he meant that as a joke but using the word wench? English is not my first language but i googled and it literally means a lewd or promiscuous woman : a female prostitute. I would have loved for him to at least use a term of endearment. Not to forget that that dude literally "entered" her in her sleep without consent?! he said he did not bother to wake her up and just proceeded to do the deed! excuse me sir that is rape! i really tried to understand his trauma and his action in response to that trauma but it is really hard! for me i like me a possessive man but i absolutely did not like his caveman behaviour when he saw her dancing with Andrew. Like you just ignore her for weeks and then when you see her dancing with another man you somehow have a change of heart and need her to be yours?! No did not like that. And in general the plot was predictable and just too many things were happening
