Entertaining and a quick read but not great. Here is my problem with this book - the premise was interesting and it could have been a great book but it fell short.

Could have been better.

This was an interesting story, however I feel that there were some details missing. I wish there was a wrap up at the end so we know what happened to Hetty.

Not bad. Kind of boring at some points and a little slow, but an interesting story about a person who takes on another person's identity. I wish there had been more of a romance, because we got teased with one, but then it would quickly jump away. I don't know, not bad, I guess. Definitely written for the 80s.

I was underwhelmed by this story. I was underwhelmed by the plot and found the vernacular to be rather modern for a historical fiction piece. I am not incredibly sensitive to those details but it was enough in this book to draw me out of the story.
