By the description, I expected this book to be more PG than R, which wasn't the case. There is an explicit scene. I didn't feel that it took away from the story, and it didn't seem gratuitous.

Yagi can taste the story when he eats a book (which he often can't resist, b/c he's a goat). At the bookstore, he sets up displays of books with the same "flavor," which would be so helpful when trying to find a book of a certain type. I wish I lived in this city to check out the store.

The overall story is very sweet. Ookami, the scary bookstore manager, is a broody, reserved type, while Yagi is a naive, younger man. The tension while readers wait for Yagi to figure out that Ookami likes him is almost too much, and then the story resolves quickly into them moving in together. I know it's romance, so this shouldn't be surprising, but I kept getting Jane Austen vibes from their interactions.

I loved the art, and all the characters are well developed. I want to know more about Chitah! Since it's a yaoi/BL story, it includes LGBTQ rep. I feel it would be a good introduction to the genre and to manga as a whole, as long as you know it'll get explicit. Since it's set in a bookstore, it appeals to people who love books, so if you've been thinking of getting into manga, check it out.

I received an advanced copy from Netgalley for an open and honest review.

Very cute, both art and story-wise, as well as being sweet in tone (though not content-wise).
It's very adorable Yagi can taste the feelings of the writer of the words on the paper he eats, and yes this leads to lots of blushing
Spoilerwhen he eats the notes left by the person who loves him.

Cute, pretty fluffy, a definite BL scene with glowing "parts". Just think of it as BL Zootopia in a bookshop with more-human-than-animal anthropomorphized characters.

The cover originally drew me to this manga, I loved the idea of an adorable goat working in a bookshop with a handsome wolf boss! Im definitely a sucker when it comes to this type of theme. The art was really nice and the characters are so cute. I would love to read more volumes about these two but I think this told a great story for them overall. Would definitely recommend this one looking for the perfect fluff!

Such a cute story with enough originality and familiarity to feel surprising and comforting.
