The third installment of Red Rising has a lot to do, and it slightly stumbles while still making it to the finish line. There's a lengthy middle section that is a slog to get through, but there are some fun battles, and the traditional Red Rising 'paradigm shifts' that are so entertaining to read. It's hard to revolutionise the world and harder still to revolutionise a galaxy, so the ending is a little underwhelming, but apparently there's another three books to go!

Definitely the best book of the original trilogy. I personally failed to connect or care about any of the characters. I mainly read this to say I finished it. 

Pacing saved this book. If it was any harder to read I would have struggled to finish it. 

I read the large print edition because that’s all they had available at my local library and that had many editing and errors. Loads of words missing or repeated. Was quite annoying.

It took me forever to get through this trilogy because it kept sending me in to depressive spirals and then I wouldn’t wanna read anymore, or get out of bed, or do anything really. What a bleak and unforgiving world!

I’m not crying, you’re crying. Such an incredible end to the first trilogy in the Red Rising series. I truly cannot explain how fully this book encompasses the heart of the human experience.
