I quite enjoyed this one. I felt for the characters and wondered what was going on. I did think it'd be predictable but I was wrong. I had a fun time with it.

I'm old enough to remember Party Lines. They were pricey toll calls that were advertised everywhere for various groups. You could call and chat with local singles, or other cool teens, and no weird strangers whatsover. Your parents would then get the bill and you would be grounded. I knew better than to actually call one, but our teen protagonists here have made party lines a habit.
This was a no-holds-barred fun Point Horror. Two teens connect through the Party Line and notice a persistent caller who may be preying on local girls. They decide to meet up and investigate the killer until they have enough proof to bring to the police. It was incredibly irresponsible of them, but you can't argue with the results. I have another Bates novel that I'll definitely be cracking open.

Point horror number 3! It wasn't my favorite but I did enjoy the read for the most part. I did find it a little too much teen romance in the middle and started questioning when it would get to the creepy parts. This is definitely a little more thriller than horror but a lot of them are.
