I loved this book and yet I hated this book so much.
WHY!!! She didn't even know! :( I'm very sad and angry right now, damn you Jamie McGuire for making me feel things once again...

I completely bawled my freaking eyes out in this book. This book brought everyone together in the most beautiful and gut wrenching way. Easily a 5 🌟 read.

This book absolutely broke my heart. In a true Jamie McGuire sense, this book has everything you need. Another masterpiece from her Maddox series. She never seizes to amaze me with her work.

It wasn't as half as bad as the reviews. I did like it despte the deaths and betrayals. Was hard to follow the characters, because when you start reading you are in the story so deep you forget from which characters point of view you read.

Superb emotional read!
I won't say much at all for fear that anything I say could give hints as to the outcome.
As for the death, it was quite an obvious one at the end, but before starting I never suspected that character only for its obviousness. But throughout the book, it was surprise after surprise regarding the death amidst the action.
The only spoilerly thing I will say is that it is not Abby that dies. And I'm commenting on this for two reasons: Throughout the book, Travis didn't call Abby Pidge as much as i wish he did. It was her main nickname in their books and it seems with age that he slows down on calling her it. And also,...and this sounds stupid...I wanted her to die. I didn't but for reading reasons I did. The romance between Abby and Travis is the most intense of all the Maddox stories in my opinion and I would have liked to see one of them gone to see how the other would react. Since Travis is a more volatile character, his reaction I would imagine would be more colorful so it would make for a more intense read.
Sorry to all those who haven't read it. I guess I just narrowed it down by two people who it's not.
I loved reading from different people's POVs. Since we visited all their POVs in previous books it was nice to get them all again in the future. I loved seeing where all their families have arrived at. Also, I enjoyed how Jamie tied together something so simple from book 1: the Benny stuff. As if by writing that subplot, she knew it would eventually tie all future books together. I really liked how over the years it was an ongoing thing.
And lastly the final chapter was perfect. I won't say anymore on that. Just that it was way too perfect in the way that it brought us back up to speed and showed how the Maddox family fully came to be.
Thank you to Jamie for yet another beautiful and emotional roller coaster of a read!

Somehow I am happy this book hasn't more pages because it totally broke my heart and it shattered in the end.
