I hesitate to leave this review, because I fear it might not do justice to the book. I guess it just isn't for me. There aren't any objective faults, but  I found the writing itself/ the voice taxing and annoying, and i'm not entirely sure why. At first I thought I might just not be in the mood for it, but I tried several times over a long period of time-- because I do really enjoy the premise as well as the promise-- but I can't even get past one third. And I really, really tried.
I know others enjoy it very much and so I would take my review with a grain of salt. Don't let my experience scare you off, I really think it deserves a try.
