Lots of threads left hanging: what happened to Mallory and Alex? Why was the gold digger trying to sneak into Max's room when he wasn't home? This one's a bit silly but did the baby have gas or did he actually smile? Does Lilli assimilate into high society, and does she even want to? And the biggest question of all, who the f*ck was herrapist ?
I'm sorry but it felt as if the author had all these additional twists and so much more of the story to tell but either lost interest or just forgot about them. The story was wrapped up too prettily and way too abruptly. I didn't buy Max's profession of love one bit.
