Once again, I enjoyed this issue of Die. I’ll do a quick summary: So, this issue mostly focuses on Ash. We get to see the relationship history between her and Zamoma, as well as the past relationship with Isabelle and Zamoma. We see Ash deceive Zamoma knowing that he will eventually betray her, this part was excellent. Next, we move to the other side of the party, where Chuck is drunkenly rescuing Angela and Matt but deciding to leave Sol locked up. The issue ends with Ash accepting and embracing her genuinely evil side.

Ash is probably my favourite character in this series due to her excellent character development. She went from the quiet decision-maker to embracing an immense power. I think we will see some consequences to her actions in the next arc. Gillen made a great connection with Ash not being pleased with his life at home outside of Angria, so his character embracing this power seems to make a lot of sense to me. Ash finally gets to be truly powerful and relevant. Hans does an incredible job with the art for Ash, as well. The images jump off the page and make the reader more attracted to the page when Ash is on it, which is precisely what should be happening for a character like that.

I love reading Gillen’s blurb at the end of each issue. He has a great voice that makes it feel like you’re reading from a pen pal or something like that. I was saddened to see that there will be a bit of a delay before the next arc is released, but what can you do? I’ll be sitting here, patiently waiting.

Something about this series is so hit-or-miss for me. I loved the previous issue, even read the long author's note at the end that I usually skip ... but this one was just so meh. I think I just don't like Ash and so the issues where she is the focus kind of bore me.

My WicDiv feelings were similar though so I guess I'll just hate some issues while loving others and hope it ends well.
