Personally I found all the prejudices easier to ignore in this one, so it was easier to actually enjoy the book.
However this book did not need to be that long, a lot of the book was name-dropping in relation to food, clothes, jewelry and cars. It felt unnecessary.

A good follow-on to the first book, and a twist for the main character Rachel Chu. I do wish that her character was developed a bit more though, Kevin made her out to be a humble working class Chinese American but in this book that seems to go away.
