oh my god it took me months to finish this book what the fuck.
first of all, why is it SO SLOW TO READ. jesus christ.
maybe i'm just a slow reader, or maybe it's because there were so many chapters that didn't need to be included in the book. i don't know.
aside from that, i really loved Tyrion's chapters the most. and second is Arya's. love them so much, they're my favorite characters. a close third would be Dany of course.
but the rest? nope, i'm skimming that chapter.
it's called a clash of kings but you don't even witness them clashing. it's so funny.
at least i finally finished this! don't know when i'll pick up the next book, i need a break from this god damn series.

And I thought A Game of Thrones was excellent. Now I’m realizing that was just an epic prologue, setting the scene for  the true masterpiece to begin. You’re taken along through slight after slight, twist and turn one after another. You’ll be stabbed in the heart a dozen times, loving and hating George for each jab he takes at you.

From what I’ve heard, A Clash of Kings and A Storm of Swords are truly the best stories ever written in fantasy. And I’m definitely starting to believe that after finishing ACOK. I’ll take a beat and read some other books before jumping into the ASOS though. My heart can’t take it quite yet.

Fascinating, I like this book better than the first in the series. I can't believe how many characters there are - I've never read a book with appendices this long and boy are they necessary. I still wish there was one more map at the front of the book, showing one part of the story that's taking place off to the East. On to the next book!

Such a great narrator Roy Dotrice was.
It is a shame we won't listen to the rest of this series, if ever published, with his voice.

Similar to my review of the first one: it is a good book. Will I read the next one? Eventually yeah probably, but I'm in no rush. This book is full of tension and excitement, the storylines are weaved together well. I do think maybe there could be a few less storylines, i know there are only more as the books progress which makes me nervous. Also, there are way too many descriptions of nipples/breasts in general, it made me uncomfortable.
