RE-READ 10/2020

I love Ilona Andrews and every once in a while I need a quick pick me up. I love the world they built with these 3 short stories, the 1st one I read was "A Mere Formality" (I think) and free on their website. Totally hilarious. Anyway, I digress.

Meli was trained to be married and be the perfect wife in an arranged marriage. Marriage was called off. She discovers that she is now Untouchable and doomed to a life alone, as well as that she has a special talent. So- she excises herself from her House and becomes an assassin. Hmm.

Fast forward- she gets the opportunity to avenge herself on her former fiancé and its soooo good!

My only disappointment was the ending, 2 years?? I won't spoil it for you, but I felt like that was a long time to xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. There I said it :)

So good. Only downside..... Way too short. I wish Ilona Andrews had expanded this world more.
