A wonderful book - possibly my favourite of the 4 in the series.
The plot and mystery are interesting, multi-layered, and plausible. The character development and character arcs are all rich, engaging, and keep me wanting more of this tremendous bunch of humans.

This was such a beautiful story.  Due to its thoughtful and lovely depiction of a family dealing with dementia, it became so much more than a typical cozy mystery.  I love listening to this series, but since I mainly listen in the car, I nearly came undone with tears at certain moments.

I adore this series, and this book hit a little different. It had everything I love and expect from this band of pensioners solving crimes- wit, ridiculousness, and yet a sense of familiarity that makes the whole thing seem not quite so ridiculous. But there was also more depth and emotion in the subplots than we’ve seen in other books, and you could tell Osman was writing from some personal experiences. For me, the perfect cozy, clever mystery!
