I can't believe I forgot to review this!

Okay, so this is the final in the End of Ever After series and by far my FAVORITE. I could really see the growth in Tenenbaum's writing between book 1 and book 5. This one follows the evil queen's huntsman and his relationship with Snow White.

The Huntsman was SUCH an interesting character, he had a lot of inner demons to battle.
Snow White, meanwhile, had her own issues.

If you like retellings, this is definitely one to check out.

The Snow White retelling whose characters were introduced in the first book of this series, this is the story of a boy walking the straight path his parents set him on, when he suddenly finds his life going in a completely different direction.

Daimyon is the son of the Captain of the Queen’s Huntsmen, an elite group of highly skilled men who exist to do the queen’s bidding and keep the balance of power in the kingdom. When Daimyon becomes the youngest Hunstman ever at the age of thirteen, he has already been training for ten years and is ready to dedicate his life to the queen’s will and his heart to his kingdom.

But when the queen begins abusing her power, the Huntsmen take notice. And when she gives Daimyon a task he cannot complete, his life is turned upside down and inside out.

Once again I am blown away by Tenenbaum’s characters, whom we get to know so intimately, relating to their struggles, understanding their flaws, and celebrating their growth. I like how this book tied back in to the Cinderella story that started the series, and I finally got confirmation about something I have been asking myself since the end of that first book! Even though I’m still disappointed in Human Again, this was an excellent final installment and I highly recommend the series as a whole!
