A fun change of scenery! Love Miss Marple getting into trouble even while on holiday. The murderer for this one I figured out early on, but absolutely loved the narrative constructed around it. A wonderful story.

This was my second Agatha Christie book that I've read all the way through. I had thought that this would be a Hercule Poriot mystery but it is actually a Miss Marple book.

Miss Marple turned out to be a funny and sneaky character. She listened to gossip and rumors and used some of that evidence in solving the mystery. Miss Marple befriended many characters while spending time at a Caribbean resort. But then one of the chatty old men died. Many just wrote that off as normal but some were not quite so sure about that. Those people began spreading rumors which sparked nervous visitors leaving. Miss Marple knew she had to figure out what's behind this.

I was convinced around halfway through that one of the characters was the murderer. But that character ended up not being the murderer and just a very prickly person.

This was an enjoyable read and was written very well. It will keep you guessing at who really committed the murder until the end.
