Holly is an ordinary girl... well, that is until she get's hit by lightening! Welcome to the amazing adventures of Electrigirl!!

This story is exciting, thrilling... extraordinary! Holly and her brother Joe are a fantastic team of superhero and 'mentor'. And Professor Macavity is the despicable villain with an evil plan that needs stopping!

I love that our superhero is a girl, one that still has to go to school, still has to deal with worrying parents and failing friendships, and then has superpowers to master too! The comic parts are brilliant and really enhance the narrative!

Will definitely be buying a copy for the school library!

Electrigirl by Jo Cotterill and Cathy Brett is part novel, part graphic novel and all amazing. It follows Holly, an ordinary girl who, due to an extraordinary event, gets superpowers. More specifically, she has electric powers, which IMHO in seriously cool. This was a fab concept, and I LOVED the story and the character of Holly.

This is superb and much needed, as there are very female superheroes. I loved the style of part comic it works really well and would be a good introduction to graphic novels for those who aren't sure.
