I have the benefit of reading these novels several years after they've been published, so I don't have to wait in between novels. After the exciting ending of the 6th novel, I immediately started reading this one. I was very disappointed to discover that this "in between" novel is basically one long dream sequence.

This little novella was a fill-in published in 2012 to keep reader interested in the Body Mover series. (6 Killer Bodies was published in 2009 & was a cliffhanger) Stephanie's publisher dropped the series & to stay employed she had to produce other books. She actually bought back the print rights to her books so she could continue the Body Mover series (which she has).
This short novella is Carlotta dreaming that her parent never left her & her brother Wesley & that she actually is married to Peter. She meets Jack, Hannah, & Coop but of course they don't know her. It was a cute little story to hold over until 7 Brides for 7 Bodies was published in 2015. It doesn't have to be read to get what's gong on in the story.

Great idea for the series to show what could have happened if her parents never left. I really liked Wesley in this version but since it was supposed to take place after the 6th book in the series I didn't get the idea of what happened with the investigation with her dad.

Cute short story of what her life would've been like if her dad hadn't been accused and lost his job and went on the run! It was funny, because her 2 other "guys" Jack and Coop, had deja vu, which was pretty funny, and yeah, can't wait for book 7!

Carlotta is recovering from the attack on her by the Charmed Killer and reeling from the appearance of the person who saved her from a certain demise - Randolph.

Unable to sleep, she finds herself sitting in her beloved Miata and soon falls asleep. When she wakes, everything has changed - her parents never left, she went to college, she is married and Wes isn't the nerdy brother. Has Carlotta slipped into a parallel time or was she dreaming the events of the past ten years?

This is a short book, a novella, and it takes place in a sort of "This is Your Life" style, "What if our parents had never deserted us." It wasn't great, but about half-way through I started enjoying it. If you're a fan of the rest of the Body Movers books and the characters, it's a cute, short read.
