I needed this in my life. I have been following Lin Manuel Miranda for awhile now although I haven't watched Hamilton and REALLY REALLY WANT TO. His tweets are some of my first retweets and I read them everytime I'm on twitter. When I found out that there was a compilation of those words of encouragement I immediately ordered it from the library. I have been reading it every night before bed just to give my mind a boost from everything thats going on in my life. I loved this book and I will get my own copy as soon as I can afford to. Thank you Lin Manuel for giving me motivation to go on. Thank you. The illustrations were also BEAUTIFUL.

What a lovely book to put out into the world. The line I keep returning to after my first read (but not my last) is "Make sure joy is well fed."

I bought this in December as a Christmas present for my mom but I ended up reading this first before her. I didn’t read this in one go and I think that became part of what made it a beautiful experience for me. Like last night, just before I finished it, I’ve been feeling all sorts of things and a lot of nagging in my head. And I came across more profound things than that one of “don’t get stuck in the comments section of life” but somehow, when I put down the book and was battling my thoughts, that line allowed me to sleep last night. Amazing.

This is a collection (with illustrations) of some of Lin-Manuel Miranda's best good-morning and good-night tweets. Some of them are super inspiring. The man has a way with words (which I think is the understatement of the century).
It's really fast reading if you just sit down and go right through it, because, after all, it's tweets. But I think it's meant more to be something you can pick up and page through when you're having a rough day and need some pep or affirmation.
An example:
"Good morning, he said.
Be at home in your head.
Make sure joy is well fed.
Don't let dread hog the bed.
Good night now, and rest.
Today was a test.
You passed it, you're past it.
Now breathe till unstressed."
Also, if you read the gems on pages 20-21, you should probably check out LMM's interview on the Stephen Colbert show to get the context for these tweets and hear him read them himself. It's...meaningful.
