Bitter Rivals is the first book in this dark, new adult, bully, RH romance from the writing duo. Days after reading this book and I still couldn't wrap my head on what I have just read. Color me flummoxed ladies. But one thing is for sure, you will be on for the craziest, nastiest, ride of a lifetime. So, be sure to read those triggers because this book will test your limits.

The story is about Remi, Cash and Ben who received an invitation to attend the super exclusive school for the elites of the society. Upon arriving on the school orientation, Remi met the super sexy, yet mysterious Professor Vaughn and sparks fly. Remi felt the same attraction to Cash and Ben although she hated their entitled guts. Her world turned upside down and straight into nightmarish kind when she woke up in a muddy pit with the other students, to literally fight for her life as she play the deadliest game of all time.

The story is steamy, panty-drenching as hell, kind of insta-love with a healthy dose of twisted and depravity that will have you questioning your morality, along with gruesome elements that borders on horror movie quality. This is like the twisted, horrific version of Hunger Games-ish and something that fans of this genre will truly enjoy.

Absolutely crazy!

This book was INSANE! It takes a lot to shock me and this book had my jaw dropping from the very first chapter. You definitely need to check the trigger warnings on this one before jumping in!

The plot of the book is like a very twisted Hunger Games and it will have your heart racing. I can’t even imagine what’s going to happen in the next book.

The MMC’s are totally filthy and every scene with them and Remi were super hot.

I’ve been a big fan of Loxley Savage for a long time but this was my first time reading anything by MJ Marstens and I will absolutely be checking out her work after this.

Original, dark, page-turning

I adored the originality of this plot. I wasn’t sure what to expect after reading the blurb but think of a squid game/hunger games/tons of adrenaline. Just make it a bit darker and add some spice.

I feel like a decent amount happened plot wise, and we were definitely on the edge of our seats, but I think that this was just an introduction to the characters and their stories. We get a brief glance of their history and life before this scenario and we start getting to know them on the surface during these games. They all have something underneath that needs to be discovered, they just have to survive first.

The mysteries and constant twists and turns had me eagerly turning the pages and wanting to know even more. The cliffhanger is a nice twist and the epilogue added a few more layers to the story.

I am very excited for the next book in the series. I need answers and I need to know what happens.

This is one of my favorite books that I have had the pleasure of reading this year. It was super dark, very spicy and you never knew what was coming next. There are a LOT of trigger warning so please take them seriously but if you don't have any than dive right in. This reminded me of the hunger games but a lot darker, sexier and bloodier. If that sounds like something you would be interested in, then this is the book for you.

This ain't your mama's romance, thats for dang sure. This dark and twisted tale is a dog eat dog, survival of the fittest, with some hunger games thrown in the middle. There are sexy times, and dark, times, check your trigger warnings please. This book has a ton of lust, sexy times, hate, rage, violence, cunning, and way, way more. The main characters are absolutely dark and depraved, even Remi to a certain extent.
The pace is incredibly fast with non stop action, and since it's told in multiple POV, you really get a sense where everyone is, in their headspace. The world building is phenomenal, I picture something dark dreary and almost victorian in the setting, but, someone else might picture something else. This book will for sure keep you guessing, and wanting more. I know I cannot wait for the next book to come out.

My jaw is on the floor! This book had so many twists and turns, blood and gore, and lots of spice! Children of the elite believe they're going to the prestigious Oakwood Prep, but they're actually being sent to fight for their lives at Bitterwood Prep. Think the Hunger Games, but with rich participants who didn't know what they were getting themselves into.

Remi isn't like most girls. She's outdoorsy and comfortable with who she is, unlike most of her peers who like to alter their bodies and act entitled all the time. She stands up for herself and does what she needs to for her own survival. Upon her arrival at Oakwood, she catches the attention of two of her classmates, Cash, and Ben, along with her professor, Xander Vaughn. She soon finds out that everything is not what it seems when she's drugged and wakes up in a pit. The chaos begins, as she and her fellow students have to fight for their lives, not for a spot at Oakwood, but for a spot at Bitterwood.

Chaos and madness ensue throughout the book. Students who break the rules are punished, as Remi, Cash, and Ben find out. Remi also has to deal with her roommate Bianca, who doesn't seem to like her. But the trials and tribulations they all go through will change their lives, and relationships with one another. And that cliffhanger!! I really enjoyed Bitter Rivals, and can't wait to find out what happens in the next book!
