Some of the points made are very, very valid! As the book was mostly intentioned for teens/young adults, it is written in a much less formal style that I really enjoyed. However, it felt like I was reading the same thing over and over again for 200+ pages.

The book wasn’t teaching anything new. Most of the things mentioned everyone has heard at one point

The book is very cookie cutter and is mostly saying “just change your mind set”.

The section about loneliness for most people would be unhelpful. It just said “do not feel pressured to make friend. There is prababily a reason you don’t have friends (meaning you haven’t found the right person or you don’t feel the need to make friends). The right person will come eventually. Don’t feel lonely. Considering that your brain also tells you to be afraid of the dark, it is probably wrong”
