Nobody liked it. It wasn't a comprehensive study about Africa in the 21st century, but a flitting survey based on the places that Hunter-Gault happened to visit and the people she happened to meet. There wasn't a great deal of in-depth reporting. Possibly she's still in the TV mind-set, where you only say what the audience can absorb between commercials. And it was remarked that she seemed mostly to be interested in herself, and was dropping names to an embarrassing extent. Also, we collectively already knew a lot of what she was reporting as 'new' news that wasn't being reported in the west.
