This reminded me a lot of Love and other Words by Christina Lauren. Compelling but not a favourite for me.

easy to see where this was going the whole time. I didn’t care for some of the generalizations/stereotypes shared in the book & the plot felt a bit lazy. Far from the worst thing I’ve read but nothing I would say people need to spend time on

Wow, coming from a woman who experienced 99% of this book personally this hit home so much. I adored it and fell in love with the authors style of writing. Joshua owns my soul!

I’ve loved other books by this author, but had a hard time with the immaturity of the characters in the beginning. I was also incredibly frustrated by Kristin’s absolute unwillingness to talk to Jacob about her concerns. The twist was incredibly graphic and while I did appreciate how well several difficult subjects were handled I just found myself too often wanting to send all the characters to therapy. It was fine. I’m not upset I read it. But it just wasn’t a hit for me.
Graphic: Car accident, Injury/Injury detail, Infertility, and Chronic illness
Minor: Sexism

Chick lit at it’s best. Sweet, funny, easy to read.
