Typical bodice ripper and angst. Ophelia is beautiful and a spoiled brat. Beauty and the beast transformation.

Having really not liked Ophelia in the first book, then seen a crack in the ice at the end, I really enjoyed reading how she turned everything around. Rafe is definitely a strong enough man for her.

Typically corny. I don't even know why I read this, I was bored and it was there mostly.

I got to Chapter 14. After that I had no interest in the characters. I'm sick of hearing for two books now how beautiful Ophelia is. I'm willing to hope it gets better but I just don't feel like reading it anymore.

Looked to be a modern retelling of Taming Of The Shrew. And I didnt expect to like Olivia after Book 1, but find Rafe & Olivia's story so much better than Sabrina and Duncan. It was crisp. And her insecurity was brought out well. And Rafe was a likeable sort.

Oh man...Johanna Lindset hits it out of the ball park...AGAIN! I really didn't expect to enjoy this story because of the heroine, Ophelia, who was the most nastiest person I've ever read. I stated in my review for The Heir, that I had faith in Ms. Lindsey to do a BELIEVABLE turn around for Ophelia's character. I really loved this book. I loved Raphael since I met him in The Heir and I knew I would love him in his own book. Ophelia and Rafe had some intense chemistry and they were just perfect for each other. I really loved this book and I'm still on this non-stop Johanna Lindsey train with no stop ahead!

This is a book that I would highly recommend reading the first book (The Heir) in the series before reading this one (the second). In The Heir, Ophelia is just an all around horrible person to the heroine. Ophelia is the heroine in The Devil Who Tamed Her, so I was really interested to see how Lindsey would change my opinion about her!

The Devil Who Tamed Her begins with Rafe, Viscount Lynnfield, and Duncan MacTavish (hero from The Heir) making a bet about whether or not Ophelia can change. Rafe believes she can and Duncan believes she will be horrible forever. Rafe decides to kidnap her and take her to a secluded family estate, so he can reform her. What they discover is that Ophelia’s temper often gets the best of her, but engaging in stimulating activities helps her calm down.

I fully recognize there is a lot wrong with this book. That being said, I still loved it! Ophelia is bitter and angry. After hearing her back story, I understood why she was like that, but I still don’t think she needed the big reformation that Rafe was talking about. The underlying kindness was already there, she just needed to take down her defenses that she had built up at the age of eight! Obviously Lindsey was successful in changing my opinion about Ophelia, so every time Rafe would refer to her as a shrew, I wanted to thump him! Also, the bet...I’m a sucker for a bet, so I knew he would have to apologize at some point. Reflecting back, I don’t think he does! He has this way of spinning the bet like he was looking out for her best interest! Anyway, I did enjoy this book, I have lots of feelings about this book, and I love Johanna Lindsey (don’t we all)!
