I bought this book because I got a postcard for it in the mail. Since I've just sent out postcards advertising my new poetry collection, I thought it would be good karma for me to buy this one. I read it from cover to cover in about 30 minutes. This is good, because it held my interest the whole way through, but it's also bad, because there was no point at which I wanted to put the book down and ponder something I'd just read. In one of the poems in this collection, Ochester says that he values speed in poetry. That's evident, as they all go down very slickly, but very few of them are memorable in any way.
