If i had read this before Master of Djinn, I may have not read that book (which I really liked!). This was more an interesting premise than a real short story. Just the barest sketch.

A tasty little morsel that manages to be so fascinating. Left me wishing for so much more so I’ll be checking out more from this author.

Great audiobook narrator too!

This, for me, was a perfect short story. There was complete balance between characters, plot, intrigue, and world building. A true goldilocks story - just enough of everything.
