Like the art style, don't care about the story but I think if I were younger reading this I'd like it the way I really liked Monster Allergy.

I loved the idea of this book and how very cool and independent all of the characters were. I just wasn't feeling the supernatural aspect at the time. Excellent work though! My son loved the hell out of it.

What was that? I feel like the whole book confused me. The sections of the Lumberjanes manual were super boring, you don't really get to know any of the characters at all, and the action was just non-stop... kind of in a bad way. It was just one weird unexplained encounter after another and lots of puzzles/challenges that take 1 second for the girls to figure out. I know these are strong female characters... but that doesn't mean it can't take them some time to think about and work something out! Not everything needs to be resolved in .3 seconds.

I was really looking forward to reading this but it didn't fully live up to my expectations. It's a lot of fun and very strange in a great way so I would recommend this series if you're looking for a story about headstrong girls who get into weird and whacky situations!
