I wanted to read this for ‘Rani in the mermaid lagoon’, because of the disability rep. It was a very simple story but I felt the representation was done pretty well. I do wish it had a bit of a stronger focus on her disability and a stronger message, it felt very surface level. But it’s a children’s book so maybe I’m expecting too much.

I read like half of the other story but I didn’t care for it so I don’t have anything to say about that one.
