Great read

I loved the interconnected stories in this, they were all so different yet they all had so much in common, too. I loved reading about the lives of all the different girls, women, and others.

This was an interesting read, and a refreshing look into womanhood in our society.

I personally cannot speak on the portrayal of black women nor going into deep details on their lives, since I'm a white woman.
All I can say is that I was able to thoroughly enjoyed this book.
This book felt human, the characters felt human.
I have never experience a reading experience like this.

Although the considerable amount of character was overwhelming at the start, it became easier with time.

I genuinely loved the story of Dominique and Bummi.
They reminded me of women in my own life.

I had a hard time getting into the writing style at first, but what an illuminating read!
All those entertwined women's lives were beautiful, emotional, angry, fascinating.
