This is Skellig/a vicious indictment of the publishing industry. "Skellig is a runaway bestseller; if we get a manuscript about a 12-year-old boy going through a coming-of-age-worthy rough patch in a new house who finds a dude with wings in a part of the house traditionally considered creepy and joins forces with a Manic Pixie Dreamgirl, it will also sell. Let's get a David Almond endorsement on the cover with some artsy wings on it to show we mean business. "

They tried to make it "darker". It somehow manged to be "darker" in the blandest possible way. This isn't a book, it's a fucking marketing gimmick.

I honestly don't know how I'm feeling about this book still. It kinda dragged in my opinion, but at the same time, I kinda wanted to see how it ended, though it is a little bit obvious what happened to Oliver in the end.
I think Eren was definitely the most interesting character. Eren was creepy, mysterious and I have to agree with Oliver a bit, acted like a child. Eren was a monster, a shadow feeding off Oliver's life force via the stories he told. The stories that Em told were interesting (though I didn't care for the 2nd story she told about the orchard.)
As I said, I don't know if I liked this story or if I should have DNF it. The whole concept of how stories are never-endings was probably what kept me reading.

Tell the Story to Its End was an enthralling read, I could barely put it down. However, upon completion, I couldn't help but feel dissatisfied with the ending. It was a quick read filled with stories within stories and lessons within fables. Recommended for those of you looking to get read a quick novel on a dark and stormy night.

I won an ARC copy in a goodreads giveaway.

As an adult I have to say I really enjoyed this book. All the small stories with were really wonderful too. I think this would be an absolutely amazing book to read to a child. This was well put together. All the characters were fantastic. And the pictures were a perfect touch!

I don't know what exactly this book was about but I don't care enough to find out. 22% in should have given me more of an idea.

Similar to A monster calls. Well written I'm not a huge fan of this type of story but it is an easy read.

I'm still not sure what I feel about this book.  I didn't hate it; I didn't love it.  Parts were confusing; parts were fascinating.

I think this will require a revisit before I can fully decide.  For now, I'll rate it right in the middle.

Los cuentos para niños son tan adorables...

NO!.

"I can wait"
"How long?"
"Till the end. What did you think? Till the end, of course"
