I thought this book was interesting. Not necessarily believable, but I don't think the author intended it to be. Finn and Chloe, two friends in a small New Jersey town try to pull-off a kidnapping ruse to help boost their popularity to get into a good college. While the town continues to look for the missing Chloe, Finn has to pretend that she is the grieving best friend. They were planning this ruse for weeks; however, they did not plan for what would actually happen. Or did they?

I got this book the month it came out! I felt so lucky to be the first in my school to read it. I liked the book even. I had never even thought of a situation like that and liked the idea because that's what drew me in. Although the book did seem to drag on forever it was an okay ending if you're willing to wait through a bunch of pages of the same thing.

Accomplice was an exceptional book for its sheer honesty. It is an unlikely situation, but it is pulled together well. Corrigan does a fantastic job of portraying the motives and feelings of the both Chloe and Finn. I was able to appreciate the full range of emotions over what they had just done from fearful to scared to extraordinarily (and possibly inappropriately) happy.
Basically, they successfully fake a kidnapping to get into a better college based on the sympathy they receive. It's not the easiest route to good schools and getting caught would be devastating, but they go for it and eventually succeed. It's a book that could go either way, though, there were certainly points where I thought they would definitely be caught. The result was rather breathtaking because you didn't expect them to succeed any more than the characters themselves did and you don't really realize you didn't expect them to succeed until they do.
But don't get me wrong. There is no happily ever after. They are interrogated and forced to put accidental blame on a guy they've both been friends with for a long time. He's sweet and considerate, but when Finn disappears, the town turns on him, forcing him to spend the next years of his life in quiet solitude and improper blame. Finn drifts away after the scam and Chloe is left alone and hurt, burdened with the real guilt.
I loved the ending. There was enough cliffhanger to let the possibilities run freely. Chloe decides to confess.

I didn't even finish it. It was not what I expected. There's a lot of teen lingo, which I understand, but it seems overused in this. The "unexpected results" are the consequences of what the girls have organized. They don't expect everyone's reactions, they don't expect national television. I thought it'd be great, but it didn't really meet my expectations.

this book honestly sucked. i read and read waiting for something, anything exciting to happen or maybe some twist in the plot but there was no excitement. just fillers and in depth descriptions page after page. finally the big resolution comes and what should have gotten at least 30 pages got maybe one chapter. continuing on, its hurried and spotty, not answering any questions and just irritating me as the reader. finally, the end leaves it open for a possible sequel, as if anybody would want a follow up after wasting their time already.

The story starts with Finn talking about the things that have been going on. She and her best friend have decided that they need to call the attention of the world so they can go to the college they want to. Their plan was simple and shouldn't have strayed from it but as the time goes by everything changes and makes them question if what they're doing will ever turn out good.

Finn wasn't the normal main character because she had to say so many lies and pretend to be feeling something that she wasn't. Even though she sometimes got me irritated towards the end she realized that what they were doing wasn't right and wanted to back away from it. She thought of those who were suffering and because of this and decide to do what was right even if at the end it took some time.

The one that really made me mad was Chloe. I kind of felt that she was only thinking about herself the whole time. Throughout all the times that they should stop what they are doing she never wants to. The ending only made my opinion of her worse, showing that she really doesn't care for others.

I really liked the story overall though at times I couldn't understand why some people were acting the way they were. I keep going back to the ending but that's what made me give it a 4. Even though it shows who Cloe really is I also liked that Finn decided to stand up for her beliefs.

I found it quite good. It started off well and I enjoyed reading it.

Finn's struggle with guilt is pretty well written. I started to feel a lot of the emotions Finn was experiencing.

The whole idea was pretty realistic for how impossible the whole thing really is. I do like how Corrigan had Chloe turn on Finn near the end and threaten her.

Chloe's character was well written also. It's hard to pull off a twisted, crazy teenage girl like Corrigan did in this book.
Chloe is the twisted one and Finn is the one who got sucked into Chloe's craziness. Finn is the one that actually has the heart because she's the one who felt guilty, not Chloe.

Cam was a nice touch. It made the whole Chloe ran away thing more believable because their parents really did pay more attention to him than her. Dean was definitely the one who caused Finn a lot of her guilt and the whole main reason that the book ended the way it did. He pushed Finn far with the guilt he caused. I love how in the end Finn and we the readers find out that Chloe had a whole side plan to their plan.

Overall, a good, enjoyable, and twisted book.
