“There” is the second book in the “On the Other Side” Series by Denise Grover Swank. Throughout the whole book, I wondered how Julia, Evan, Reece, and Jo were going to get out of this. I was amazed that DGS found a way out of all of it. The ending is bitter sweat in my opinion, but I liked it. It leaves an opening for another book, I’m not sure if this is the end of the series or not, I certainly hope not, but everything is finished and no questions are left unanswered. This is one of those books I was sad to come to the end. I really like thinking about the idea of parallel universes, and this series does a great job with it! I would recommend this series to just about anyone, even if you don’t like paranormal type of books, it’s a great story of young love and never giving up. I also liked the alternate ending – because it lets you know what would have happened if Julia would have gone back to her world the first time without Evan, which, of course, is a decision she made, so it creates another parallel universe with the opposite of what she chose. Really cleaver, I really liked that piece, and the book. All in all, another great book by Denise Grover Swank!

Loved every word, until the epilogue. I didn't hate the epilogue but I could have done without it. "There" is a really great story.

After reading the first book in this series, I was eager to read this second installment. I liked reading the experiences the characters went through. The experiences that Julia, Evan and Reece encountered kept me turning the pages as fast as I could read in order to find out what happened next. I was a little thrown off by the ending, but enjoyed the book nonetheless. I enjoy Denise Grover Swank's thoughtful writing.

Being fairly new to the reading world, I tend to relate books to tv shows or movies when I tell others about them. I did not know what to think of On the Otherside from the description but would now relate it to Fringe, which is amazing. DGS does a great job at making you feel like you are right there with Julia on her adventure. I cannot wait to see what is store next.

This series is so much different than what I'm used to reading. But it has quickly become one of my favorites. Great YA series.

Julia Phillips’ world is an alternate universe away.

Trapped in a land where government leaders want her dead, Julia is forced to run for her life with Evan and Reece, the two boys who brought her here. They’re on their own in a hostile landscape ruled by scavengers and thieves.

But Evan is battling a deadly infection, and Julia finds herself racing against time as she tries to find the medicine that will save his life. She and Reece find an unlikely ally—Jo, a girl they free after finding her captured in a bandits’ hideout.

As the four travel across the country, Julia has something else to worry about—her memories are slowly being replaced by the Julia of Evan and Reece’s world. Will they find a way to send Julia home before it’s too late? Or will Julia’s body and mind be trapped THERE?

My Review - It's over :( So sad. I was ready to find out the ending but I was sad for it to be over. Reece was my favorite for some reason and at times I wanted to just skim the parts of Julia going through her memory spells. BUT I couldn't I had to read every word and then the alternate ending was pretty cool but I'm glad that's not how the book went. Anyhow, I'll be reading more Denise Grover Swank books in the future.
