I got this book as a christmas gift from my uncle when I was maybe 16 years old, and it has since been categorized as one of the most creatively inspirational books I've ever read. As a horror writer (and general admirer) the relationship between this little girl and "her dog" keeps the "what ifs" churning all day long... for almost a decade, now.
