This is a tragic true story of a girl who is abused by her stepfather for seventeen years. The book is reminiscent of the book A Child Called It, which is actually the book which gave the author the courage to tell her story. She wrote it with the hope that others would gain courage by reading her story and have the strength to escape their abusive situations.
