This series is spectacular. Every time I read more, I fall deeper in love with it. The art, characters, action, and stellar writing style all lead to a beautiful if brutal storyline. There is no shortage of wild fight scenes with characters both new and old, and I can only hope to see more of them over the course of the series.

Manji and Rin's relationship continues to evolve, and I hope to see more of it as they become comrades in arms. Rin is at the forefront of this development as she learns how harrowing the path to revenge can be. She has some truly memorable moments with fierce villains, yet her heart remains stout despite what she sees as weakness.

Manji's character also went through some refreshing emotional beats thanks to his time with Rin, and though he remains fairly mysterious to me. What I really loved was actually all of the side characters, even the villains. Nothing is simple and once they have time in the spotlight, no one is dull or grey. This is a diverse and challenging cast, and I love seeing them in action!

Two books in and I am absolutely hooked. Everything from the illustration and action scenes to the themes and characters and storyline is expertly done. I cannot recommend this series enough!

This is one of the best manga's I read. It is very successful mesh of excellent art, fantasy and samurai revenge story ... you need to read it to believe it. Characters are all extremely fleshed out and story is amazing. I can only congrats to DarkHorse for creating these omnibus gems for us that missed collecting original editions.

Highly recommended to anyone who likes graphic novels.

This second entry was quite good but i liked the first omnibus more. The quest of the main characters goes on and if you liked the first book you'll definitely like this second one for sure.

i'm eager to read the next omnibus collection.
