My 11yo nephew really enjoyed this. I found some parts of the story to be too unrealistic.

Read this because my son is reading the series and I wanted to be able to discuss it, like a family book club. It is fun and smart and I love the emphasis on science and math, as well as adventure and mystery and courage.

My nine-year-old daughter was given this book for Christmas, and it became a bedtime read aloud book.

12-year-old Max Einstein is an orphan, unaware of the specifics of her past but possessing a brilliant mind as she navigates life alone. She is attending college courses, trying to stay under the radar and befriending other squatters in the horse stables, all while she learns what she can from Albert Einstein's writings (and their imaginary conversations).

She has been noticed for her genius, both by the villainous Corps and the noble CMI and has decisions to make as to her aim in life, whether she wants to pursue success and wealth or the betterment of society. There is some suspense, but chapters are short and the cliffhangers and situations aren't too scary or drawn out as to create any fear in my girls.

Both of my girls enjoyed this book and I have no doubt the sequel will be acquired soon for them to continue their journey with Max and her new friends.

My children and I listened to this book in the car and they were begging me to download the next book in the series when they were done. A very adventurous and smart middle grade novel!

I think this was a good book. It was a light read about smart kids helping a worldwide crisis while fighting the “bad guys”.
