A collection of insights from people in creative fields on areas of work (balance, pay rises, networking, public speaking etc) and advice from the author, a leading journalist - a good commute-sized book as well as ideal for lunch time reading at work

A really practical career guide for women in creative (or non creative) industries. I’d say this is a must read for creative freelancers and a great book to give as a gift to anyone starting out their career in a creative field.

Some of it is a bit obvious if you’re someone who thinks about their career a lot, but nonetheless great to write obvious advice down as sometimes the most basic tips can be elusive.

You can read this book or you can browse through some mediocre career advise articles and read some research about payment inequality. The result is the same.

Exactly what it says it is. Such a useful toolkit for creative working women! Everything from productivity to networking to taxes! Will definitely have this on me at all times for a quick boost now and again!

Potentially useful if you're a woman at the very beginning of your career but other than that, this is more of a quick guide to all the tips many of us will have heard time and time again.

As a freelance, i didnt like this book at all, boring and repetitive.

Much of this is definitely of use to men too, although the last part is aimed primarily at working women. A lot of sound, useful information.
