My 7 year old rated it a 3 and my 5 year old a 5 (he said it was one of his favorite books he’s ever read). This is such a good start to this classic American tale. It easily introduces you to the main characters and the hero’s become hero’s to the kids and they feel for Alice and Cora throughout the book.

Good abridgment of the original. The story itself is full of stereotypes. Overall, I'd say pass.
