Cardan and Jude from a 3rd party is so crazy. Why did I forget that Jude almost choked him out?! Anyways, Taryn is almost sympathetic in this book. Almost. She still sucks though because their little secret relationship was worse than I thought. Locke needs to be set on fire.

Wow this is the most half-assed apology I have ever read, but I guess it’s fitting since it’s written from Taryn’s POV. This is written quite well (albeit a bit short), but I personally adore the way Holly Black writes. I honestly expected to like Taryn a bit more after this, but I think I just hate her more. I guess it’s fitting who she ends up falling in love with (I mean they’re both terrible). Excited for the next book in the series though!
