Really wanted to like this because it came highly recommended as being very creepy. Unfortunately it took a while to even get to the tension (largely family drama until it brings in the horror elements). The Ouija board inviting an evil entity that then destroys your family and your life might have been scarier if I read this in middle school. There were a couple creepy elements but overall it just felt like I was watching an episode of Paranormal Witness or the like. I had hoped the story might do something interesting with the Ouija board cliche but sadly it did not.
