I really enjoyed The Weaver and the Witch Queen! I loved the characters and I feel like the plot was original and well written. I loved the themes of female friendship, the enemies to lovers trope, strong female main characters, and positive LGBTQIA+ representation.

I do feel like there were some points in the story that could have been further developed, for example, everyone's relationship with their families and parents seemed a bit glossed over. I also feel like maybe for the sake of word count, plot points were glossed over as well where I would have preferred more detail.

Overall, I loved the story though! I loved the Norse culture and I loved the overall feminist message. Good book!

The first 90% of this book had me sold - medieval Vikings, sorcery, gritty and powerful female characters. Then… in the last 10%, the pacing slowed down, and suddenly it was pages and pages of exposition on ✨sisterhood and girl power✨ which was not to my taste

EDIT: Finally read it. But I need to collect my thoughts about it before I even begin to write a review.

I mean... I read it's a book by Genevieve and I'm already half in love with it. July can't come fast enough!
