Might change this to 3.5 stars. Some things were worth a big eye roll, but suprisingly I quite enjoyed reading this book.

Review to come.

What can I say: Was it amazing? No. Was it horrible? Also no. I read this because I was feeling especially like a teenage girl and it was exactly what I suspected it'd be. Will I read the rest of the series when I take a break from being an 80 year old Russian man at heart and once again begin to feel like the 18 year old female I am? Absolutely.

very good and a very good take on mythology. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

This book ended up being a lot better than I thought it would be. Sure, the author mixed up a few different aspects of Greek mythology, however I think as an author you kind of have free reign on what you write about. I will for sure read the next book when it comes out.

This is the first book I've read that's about greek mythology and I quite enjoyed it. I know that some people say greek mythology is not portrayed accurately in this book but I don't really care, because nonetheless it was an interesting read.

I thought I wouldn't enjoy this book. It's quite short with a pretty complicated retelling. I loved every single part of this book. I love the way the author took a typical mythology story and turned it into something different. It's still a Hades and Persephone retelling but with a twist. I love the take on it. Kate is so sweet, and she really was amazing! She is perfect for Henry in every single way. Her mother, as much as I hated the deception, I liked her. She did everything she could to ensure Kate had a choice, regardless of what it would mean. The tests were messed up, but it showed the women's true colors. Kate is fit to be queen of the underworld and a goddess herself.
